Hi! I'm Alexandra, a visual artist specializing in illustration, hand lettering, and travel photography. My work is composed of playful forms and gestures that celebrate the quotidian across cultures.

I'm happiest when collaborating and problem solving with fellow creatives. I've worked as a photo editor for Afar magazine in San Francisco, mural coordinator at the Municipality of Lima, Peru, English/Spanish teacher & interpreter in Asbury Park, NJ, and photographer for Governor Paterson of New York.

I now live in Miami Shores, where I'm surrounded by lizards, taking illustration commissions, and promoting local artisans with my husband Raul at Mima Market. For round-the-clock updates, follow on Instagram at @palographic and @alessandrasalamandra.
